Aon announced the appointment of Joe Peiser as CEO of Risk Capital.

Joe Peiser

Peiser first joined Aon in 2021 as commercial risk leader for North America before being appointed to Global CEO of Commercial Risk in 2023. In his new Risk Capital role, Peiser will work closely with solution line and regional leaders as well as Aon Business Services to accelerate the delivery of end to end solutions, ensuring clients benefit from a more connected, analytics‑enabled capital ecosystem.

He will lead Aon’s Risk Capital capabilities across Commercial Risk and Reinsurance Solutions. Peiser will continue to report to Andy Marcell, CEO of Global Solutions for Aon. A search for the role of CEO of Commercial Risk is underway.

Peiser has more than 30 years of industry experience spanning broking leadership, risk consulting, client advisory roles and executive positions across North America, the UK and Bermuda. He has led transformation programs at scale, including modernizing broking platforms and advancing analytics‑enabled solutions for clients.

Liberty Mutual Announces Leadership Transition in Global Risk Solutions

Matthew Moore

Liberty Mutual Insurance, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, named Matthew Moore, president of underwriting, Global Risk Solutions (GRS), as president of GRS beginning March 6. Neeti Bhalla Johnson, president of GRS, will conclude her role effective March 6 to pursue new opportunities.

Moore has been with Liberty Mutual for over 24 years, in a series of executive positions in Global Specialty and Reinsurance. For the last four years, he has been the President of Underwriting at GRS. He was formerly chair of the London Market Group (LMG), board member of the Lloyd’s Members Association, a board member of Pool Reinsurance Company Limited, and vice president of the Insurance Institute of London.

During her tenure as President of GRS, Bhalla Johnson led a turnaround of the company’s commercial and specialty (re)insurance business across 24 countries, producing $23 billion in gross written premium. Under her leadership, GRS dramatically improved its combined ratio performance and established a clear strategic vision through 2030. Before this role, Johnson served as Liberty Mutual’s chief investment officer.

Bhalla Johnson will support a smooth transition and will serve in an advisory role to the CEO until June 2026.
