Aon Commercial Risk Taps Howden’s Reed as CCO, Major, Complex and Enterprise Clients in UK
Insurance broker Aon plc professional services firm has appointed Adam Reed to chief commercial officer of major, complex and enterprise clients for Commercial Risk in the UK, effective starting September 2026.
Reed will be based in London and report to Rob Kemp, CEO of Commercial Risk in the UK for Aon.
In his new role, Reed will drive growth with FTSE350 and private businesses, working closely with Amy Froude, chief commercial officer of Commercial Risk for the UK, and its industry sectors leader, Dave Kennedy, as well as other leaders across the country.
Reed will join from Howden where he held the position of managing director of large and complex risks. Prior to this, he held senior roles at both Marsh and Willis Towers Watson, in which he led major account relationships.
“Adam will be joining Aon at a time when more large global businesses are looking to us to help them navigate the evolving risk management landscape, both across various product classes and in increasingly sophisticated scenarios,” commented Rob Kemp, CEO of Commercial Risk for the UK.
Reed’s appointment comes as Aon continues to strengthen its UK Commercial Risk leadership team, following the recent appointments of Michelle Beverley as chief broking officer, Amy Froude as chief commercial officer, Lucy Gleeson as head of product and facility and Chris Scott as head of UK global risk consulting.

BHSI in UK Names Kirby Country Mgr. and Nixon Head of Exec & Professional Lines
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) announced the promotion of Jessica Kirby to country manager, UK, subject to regulatory approval.
She succeeds Nick Major, who is retiring from the company and the London Market.
Kirby joined BHSI in 2018 and was most recently head of Executive & Professional Lines, UK. She has nearly two decades of experience focused on the UK and London markets and deep financial lines expertise. She is based in London and can be reached at Jessica.Kirby@bhspecialty.com.
As Kirby assumes her new role, Chris Nixon will take the reins as head of executive & professional lines in the UK. Nixon, who has more than 12 years of industry experience, joined BHSI in 2019 and was most recently underwriting manager, E&P Lines.
