Icosa Investments AG is adding experienced insurance-linked securities and catastrophe bond investments specialist Raffaele Dell’Amore as a new Portfolio Manager for its growing Icosa Cat Bond Fund strategy, Artemis has learned.
Earlier this year, the Icosa Cat Bond Fund reached a new milestone of US $1 billion in assets under management (AUM).
Recall that Icosa only opened its business and launched its first catastrophe bond fund at the beginning of 2024.
By the end of April 2026, the Icosa Cat Bond Fund had expanded further to reach $1.1 billion in AUM.
Raffaele Dell’Amore has a long pedigree working in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market, with experience across catastrophe bonds, private ILS and also as an investment consultant focused on helping allocators understand and invest in ILS strategies.
He began his career in 2009 working as an actuarial analyst at reinsurance firm SCOR in Zurich, before joining Deloitte in 2011 and spending almost two years working in financial risk management for the consultancy.
In 2013, Dell’Amore joined specialist ILS manager Secquaero Advisors AG as a Senior Risk Specialist. That company was later acquired by asset management group Schroders and from 2015 to 2019 Dell’Amore worked as a portfolio manager for its private ILS strategies.
He moved to another specialist manager, Twelve Capital, in 2019 and spent almost two years as its Head of Private Insurance-Linked Strategies and as an Executive Director.
Dell’Amore joined SIGLO Capital Advisors AG in 2020, a Swiss based alternative asset advisory specialist with an insurance-linked securities (ILS) practice. He then became an Investment Managing Director at Cambridge Associates, after that investment consulting specialist acquired SIGLO in 2024.
His career has seen him gain expertise in actuarial risk and capital modelling, risk analysis of reinsurance transactions, portfolio construction and portfolio management of ILS investments, and most recently on the analysis and consulting side working with major allocators, still with a specialist focus on ILS investments.
