Insurer Nationwide looks to its customers in taking a new approach to rural property monitoring through a relationship with Barn Owl, a provider of solar-powered, cellular-connected remote camera systems designed specifically for farms, ranches and rural agribusiness operations.
Nationwide said its customers can now receive preferred pricing on Barn Owl hardware, as well as access to exclusive early bird promotions. Barn Owl also offers additional savings off each extra camera, making it easier to scale coverage across an operation.
“Farmers and ranchers often have valuable equipment, livestock and infrastructure spread across wide areas, and it’s not always practical to be everywhere at once,” said Vicente Rico, agribusiness risk management product development lead at Nationwide. “Our relationship with Barn Owl strengthens Nationwide’s commitment to helping customers predict and prevent losses by giving them another practical, easy-to-use tool to monitor their operations, deter theft and respond more quickly when something needs attention.”
Barn Owl cameras let customers monitor animals, equipment, buildings, gates and other remote assets from anywhere. Barn Owl also offers options ranging from high-definition photos and videos with real-time alerts to livestreaming with audio, along with contract-free plans designed to fit different monitoring needs.
The new relationship adds to Nationwide’s growing suite of Ag Tech risk management solutions.
