One person was killed and another injured in a fire at a mobile home in Woodstock, New Hampshire.

According to officials, around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026, members of the Woodstock Fire Department responded to Scenic View Drive after a 911 caller reported a home was on fire. When firefighters arrived, they found a single-wide mobile home actively on fire.

Firefighters then learned that a neighbor had pulled an adult female from the home but was unable to rescue an adult male due to the growing fire. The female was transported by medical helicopter to a Boston-area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters continued efforts to knock down the flames, and the fire was brought under control at 5:52 a.m. After the fire was extinguished, fire personnel located a deceased adult male inside the home.

The identity of the injured victim is being withheld pending the ongoing investigation and next of kin notification. The identity of the deceased victim is being withheld pending an autopsy.

No first responders were injured.

Investigators with the office of New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Sean P. Toomey are leading the investigation into the origin and cause of the fire. All aspects of the fire remain under investigation. The fire is not currently considered suspicious, officials said.

Woodstock Fire Chief Matthew Cole and Woodstock Police Chief Joseph Guerriero were on the scene.

Woodstock is in the White Mountains region of Grafton County. Additional firefighters from Lincoln, Campton-Thornton, Easton, Lisbon, Franconia, Haverhill, Holderness, Littleton, Plymouth, Rumney, Sugar Hill, Twin Mountain (Carroll), and Warren provided assistance.
