The Professional Insurance Agents of Arkansas (PIA Arkansas) announced that Executive Director Staci Shearon will retire effective May 29, 2026, concluding nearly 20 years of leadership and service to the association and the independent insurance community.
Shearon informed the PIA Arkansas Board of Directors of her decision earlier this month. During her tenure, she played a central role in strengthening the association’s presence across advocacy, education, and member engagement, helping position PIA Arkansas as a leading voice for independent agents in the state.
The Board emphasized that it is actively managing the leadership transition to ensure continuity and stability. A formal transition plan is currently underway, with additional details expected to be shared with members in the coming weeks.
PIA Arkansas leadership also noted that the association remains financially strong and well-positioned for continued success, with its mission and commitment to serving independent agents unchanged.
In a message to members, Shearon reflected on her time with the organization and her plans for the future.
“Serving this association has been one of the greatest honors of my professional life,” Staci Shearon said. “Together, we have built a community rooted in advocacy, education, relationships, and shared success. I am grateful for the trust and partnerships that have made this journey so meaningful.”
Shearon said her retirement will allow her to spend more time with family while exploring new entrepreneurial opportunities. She also affirmed her commitment to supporting the Board through a smooth and successful transition.
“I have great confidence in the future of PIA Arkansas,” she added. “The foundation is strong, and I know the association will continue to thrive and evolve in meaningful ways.”
Shearon is expected to connect with members and industry partners at the upcoming PIA Arkansas Annual Convention, scheduled for May 5–7, 2026, in Hot Springs.
The Board encouraged members and colleagues across the industry to join in recognizing Shearon’s contributions and wishing her well in her next chapter.
