Willis, a WTW business, has announced its return to the light and recreational general aviation market after a 30-year absence, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to providing industry-leading insurance solutions.

The move has been enabled by Willis’ acquisition of the Crispin Speers’ general aviation team.

Through this expansion, Willis offers a fully comprehensive range of insurance solutions tailored to the unique needs of light and recreational general aviation operators, including microlights, balloons, gliders, commercial drones, as well as light fixed wing aircraft.
In addition, Willis is now equipped to offer commercial insurance solutions for non-aviation risk exposures, by leveraging the expertise of its extensive network.

The arrival of the Crispin Speers team introduces established, turnkey services, underpinned by technology which allows the prompt and efficient handling of a large volume business offering.

“Our re-entry into the light and recreational general aviation sector closes a long-standing gap in Willis’s portfolio, enabling the delivery of an A-Z suite of insurance solutions,” commented John Rooley, head of Global Aviation and Space at Willis. “Clients can now benefit from a seamless, one-stop approach for all their aviation insurance requirements, backed by Willis’s global reach and trusted reputation.”
